Complaints & Grievances

What is a complaint or grievance?

A complaint (grievance) is when you tell us that you are not satisfied with the services you received.

Here is a diagram showing the Magellan Complaint and Grievance Process

You may file a complaint with us at any time by phone or in writing or online.  See your Magellan member handbook for more information on Magellan's complaint procedure.  You may also complain to the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services.  You will not receive a negative reaction from us because you file a complaint.

You can mail complaints in writing to Magellan Health Services in Nebraska at:

Magellan Behavioral Health of Nebraska
Attention: Quality Department
1221 N Street, Suite 325
Lincoln, NE 68508-2018

To file your complaint by phone, please call Magellan at 1-800-424-0333 (TTY/TDD 800-424-4045) and ask to speak with a QI Specialist.  If you do not speak English, call the number above.  We will send a translation of this notice and/or get an interpreter to help you for free.
